The President of the United States is now, formally, implicated in a criminal conspiracy to mislead the American public in order to influence an election. Were he not President, Donald Trump, himself, would almost certainly be facing charges. This news came in what must be considered the most damaging single hour of a deeply troubled Presidency.

It is not crystal clear to me. I believe it is very possible to have a heated debate without personal attacks or belittling the other party. Even when a point of view collides totally with our own conception of reality, that doesn't mean that other views are invalid or at least deserve meaningful answers. Or ignorance, if one thinks the other person's opinion is unworthy of attention. The way most arguments goes on this forum is similar to the way Trump communicate IMO. That goes for his supporters as well as his opponents. I realize some will take that as a compliment, but in my book it is not. YMMV.


NOTE: I have myself, over the years, been guilty many times of uncalled for sarcasm or derogatory remarks against people I felt were completely off the rafter, but that doesn't make it right. In fact, it only make me a lesser person.

I think you hold yourself in too high an esteem as I consider your way of communicating to be on par with the ones you listed.

And thank you for pointing out again what I had just mentioned, that I am guilty of flaming. Pointing out that one member only, in my experience, is able to keep things civil is not the same thing as sucking up, just in case you needed that explained.
