Pointing out that one member only, in my experience except he isn't, he's just cleverer about his flaming. Not that there's anything wrong with that because this particular forum is set up for flaming.

I've adopted the attitude I have because the moment I stepped into this cesspit, I was my normal respectful self but I just got a pile of manure for my troubles. Then I realised that this is because of how it has been. I attempted to suggest some agreed rules that we all would accept but there were *howls* of protest from all those like Mn, JoG, WM and the like. They like it like that, because that's the only way to win an argument that is impossible to win. Just abuse.

So abuse is what has been deemed appropriate on this forum. I may make a few choice ad hominem comments but I'll still wrap it up with some reasoned analysis.

For my money if the forum mods or the owner do not want to run the forum properly, that is set the rules and ban members who won't abide by them then the result is exactly what we get.

I get subdividing groups into boxes. I do that, everyone does that. Probably an evolutionary benefit, helps us quickly recognize friend or foe.

But why is it when that particular group takes a stand, it's view as a negative thing but when virtually every other group takes a stand, its viewed as progress?
