I got sober over 15 years ago, not sure how you got I am actively in rehab?
But of course life is always actively trying to improve, hopefully.

I hear ya in the sheep, but in the end, if I am fooled, I can live with that, sorta like a better to have loved, and lost, than to not have loved at all....
It’s on them, ya know what I mean?
I ain’t no wizard, nor am I going to go through life thinking everyone might be a wolf.....
Gives me a nervous tick, and kills my buzz  Cheesy

Thanks!

you assume I am not saved
I see through the false

what is the definition of CHRISTIANITY?

The good definition is found in the works of GK Chesterton,
"Orthodoxy" and "the Everlasting Man"

A quick view through the arguments is presented by Lewis in
"Mere Christianity" .

I'm sorry to have to bring this up, but how can you, ray, make a post like this after making a terrible remark like you did to me regarding 14 year old girls?  You didn't apologize - in fact, you barely acknowledged you even made it.

Keep it real on here, huh?

Why does it matter what people think or say about any of us on here?

What is the emotional investment about?

First of all, you are not sorry, why do you even say that?
You have a “need” and you want others to satisfy it, we can’t, only you can.
I addressed the mentioning of 14 year old girls already, it was just a extension of your remark about Trump tweeting like 14 year old girls, that you gave to another posters challenge of you, I threw it back in your face as the stupid remark it was....

Keep it, your real, eh.
You must be honest first, to yourself, or you will always think it’s others, who are lying.
The testimony your behavior on this board gives me is that you spend much of your life looking at/for the wrongs of others, blaming them, calling them out, thinking it will change them, and justify you, so I reckon you can then feel all is right in the world.
You don’t need anything from me, nothing, agreement, apologies, atta boys, nothing.
Go script your own story, your own life, be that CHANGE in your world you wish to see in others.
That is the challenge for all of us who like to “argue” with others on the internet  Grin
Have a good day TT, make it a winner.

A great question.
I will give my reply later this evening.

This “need” is one that has been a great cause of ill in this world, for this weakness has been capitalized on greatly by many.

We are allowed to judge people by their actions and words. The Word tells us in Matthew 7:20 we will know them by their fruits, and in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 to turn away from these people. How can we recognize the lost if we can't make a judgement call? What Jesus warns us of is HYPOCRITICAL judgements. If we drink Mon-Sat, and tell others in church Sunday that drinking is a sin, then what are we? I'll take "Hypocrites" for 400, Alex.  Wink
We are called to love everyone as Christ loves us and everyone, saved or lost, should practice that. Whether we believe in God or not, the world would be a much better place if we all did. God bless!

It's a turn of phrase, nothing more.  It shows my hesitance, because your original post has nothing to do with it.

You have a “need” and you want others to satisfy it, we can’t, only you can.

No, you didn't - and anyone reading the CONTEXT of the comment knows exactly what you were insinuating.

How can you possibly be that sanctimonious?  Remember ray, I'm not comparing you to a 14 year old girl, I'm comparing our president to one.  It's not clear why you protect him, or feel that need to.

It's also not clear why you, in one post can pontificate like a scholar, and then make insinuations like you do.  What happened to the Golden Rule?

Since I've been back, I've never called you a name nor insinuated anything about you (until now).

So - why the aggression?  Why the animosity towards someone that has not hurt you in the slightest?

You post on here about "overcoming our faults".  I find it funny that you seem to be the one that tries the least to do it.

You don’t need anything from me, nothing, agreement, apologies, atta boys, nothing.
Go script your own story, your own life, be that CHANGE in your world you wish to see in others.

No ray, I'm sorry (there's that turn of phrase again) - you don't get off that easy.  For all the dirt that jog throws around, for the "holier than though" form MShipley and for the less than understandable posts form mn - they, at least, seem to be genuine in their positions.  You ray, don't.

So why is that?  You and your friends talk about "drive byes" by Sero, yet your 14 year old girl comment is by far one of the worst.  And what makes it even worse it is that you take no responsibility for it.  No apology. No remorse.

It reminds me of the time you posted a pic of your melanoma surgery on your face and "joked" about it - saying you got beat up.  Surprisingly, the first one to respond with genuine concern was Lost - and you led him on by not responding.

Maybe before you start posting about the flaws of us all, think about what you've done and how it's affected others.  Take responsibility for your actions.  They have consequences.

Have a good day TT, make it a winner.

Enough of the condescension.  I don't buy it - and I don't think anyone else does either.

Joel, yes, we need to discern all, but be careful to judge, as we shall be judged accordingly, yikes!
It’s a fact, we need to know where to cast the seeds where they stand the greatest chance to sprout and offer the same.
We see exampled again, and again, of scripture being taken out of context.
We need to be careful that we too, don’t fall prey to the same behavior  Smiley
