But looking at kim's history, do you really think he's going to suddenly become this great statesman? He knowingly lets his people starve. He's ordered people opposing him to be put to death. He's threatened the US directly.
You can wish, but I don't see it happening.
No, I do not have high hopes, but I believe the chance is less than zero. And due that slim chance, I see no harm trying. In fact, I think it makes sense to try.
I agree. But with the posturing that was done and the out and out lies that have been told about what this meeting was going to do. i just don't have much hope.
But yeah, there was a chance. Not sure about that now.
I also think it is important not to automatically condemn everything Trump does, but keep an open mind and judge each thing he does separately, even if one - like me - think the overall ability is severely lacking.
I try, but it's not easy
. I actually haven't given up completely on the trade agreements. From the start, I've said "let's wait and see".
But that's about it. so far - on immigration, the tax breaks, the increased spending have been the leading cause for my continued concern. Not to mention his constant tweeting.
While it's no secret that I think the man is vile and doesn't deserve the office, the things I "complain" about are well documented and not only my opinion.Just like I have no respect for people who claim Obama did nothing good whatsoever, I cannot respect people who only look for - and see - Trump's bad sides and give no credit to things he does well.
I guess I'm guilty of that - because frankly, I don't see anything to give him credit for that he does well. One must be able to see actions and results, not just his, ehm, unusual way of communicating.
