Well that was stupid, a one week FBI investigation.....

Oh really, how do you do that?

The scope and time frame has boxed them in.
If they renege, or try to extend it, for whatever reason, their word is toast to everybody but the libheads, and will cause the swing voters to just turn them off, with no chance of a blue wave.

They should have had the conviction to let the vote go forward, and voted accordingly, using the partisanship against the repubs, in the midterm, IF........ they really believe he is guilty, and that people will be so disgusted, that they would participate in that blue wave....

No, they got internals that say otherwise, and now they just did this ploy to buy off some of their luke-warmers and minimize the effect of the zealots, and rabid wing, of the party, so they won't be attacked in restaurants by their own party Grin

Not to even mention that its gives the FBI a chance to make amends to Tweeter, as this is a slam dunk, they already have done background checks on the guy, and nothing came up.
They will not get any new, or just make that ANY evidence.....
That they will need to weigh, as none exist, or you would have already seen it yesterday.

No, the dems of the swamp needed a out, and they got it.

Well if the fbi is really going to this don't they have to investigate both sides ? he has already been combed over 6 times by the fbi - so doesn't she need to answer a question or two - like provide all the notes from her therapists sessions where she "recovered" this long lost memory and perhaps a list of medications she is now using or has ever used - this can not be one sided where the accused is guilty unless he can prove he is not - such a thing has not been used since the 6th century after the fall of the roman empire where heathens reverted to Germanic pagan customs of the distant past.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see the questions they ask her.
I heard her attorney's might not have informed her that the committee offered to go to her in private, and her counsel didn't inform her of that choice....
If that is true, those two attorneys might be under a investigation themselves real soon, and she can sue them for malpractice to boot!

Make amends ? Why would they do that. You do realise who's side the FBI is on ? It ought to be obvious by now.

They will f*ck Kavanaugh any way they can, as long as they can do it without screwing themselves in the process. They don't care about Kavanaugh, or what happens to him. They are defending the swamp against Trump.

Trump needs to have a little chat with Rosenstein and tell him in no uncertain terms that if this investigation goes the way the dems want it to, that Rosenstein is out the door PDQ and that whoever Trump replaces him with will do his best to see that Rosenstein's sorry a*s winds up in jail.

But I feel what Comey did is still having a BIG effect on them, and that would just continue the bleeding of the many blunders the FBI cut their own self with.
They are viewed as just another swamp creature now, even worse than the damage J. Edgar Hoover left them with.

Sure. But I don't think they believe that they can save themselves by throwing Trump a bone. The FBI leadership has been complicit in all the underhanded "get Trump" machinations ever since he won the election he wasn't supposed to win (and even before) and they keep getting caught at it. They need him gone, and they need to work hand in hand with the dems to make that happen. Kavanaugh is just collateral damage as far as the FBI is concerned.

If the FBI comes back with doodly squat in a week the dems will be furious.
Sooner or later Trump is going to start to clean house, regardless of how this plays out, and the dems won't bother to protest if the FBI crosses them up on this one.
