Following Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp’s narrow victory in 2012, North Dakota’s Republican lawmakers passed a new law requiring voters to present an ID that lists their current residential street address. The measure plainly targeted Native Americans, many of whom live on rural reservations with no street names or residential addresses. Previously, residents could vote with a valid mailing address, allowing rural tribal voters to list their P.O. Box. Now they must provide an ID with their exact residency—something that many Native Americans don’t have and can’t get.

Native Americans are illegal immigrants?

In what manner? I was under the impression that they were officialy made legal US citizens in 1924.

To clarify I am saying that percentage wise within US borders of all recognized races, the race known as "Native American" has the lowest numerical percentage of illegal immigration status. As opposed to any other recognized race utilized by CBP, ICE or other immigration agencies.

I find it interesting that when taking into consideration all recognized races, Native Americans have the most difficulty in placing a vote in a US election process due to the nature of independently run Native American Nations, Reservations, Tribes and other structures used by Native Americans within the United States.

I would assume that a higher percentage illegal immigrant race would have a harder a time securing a vote in a US election process based off of numbers alone.

This is my opinion, based off of math, I do not intend to "Troll" or otherwise indicate a method of communication other than respectfully expressing my opinion on this subject.

In 1979, I moved from one County to another one.
Had been, ‘their’, a while, had my mail set up, (a BOX #)
Then went to a Twp. meeting to set up to register to vote.

I Could Not, on my Box Number.

Even though they all new me.
Even though they all knew the place I bought.
I could NOT, Vote, until I listed the physical address.

Today, (in Mn), Just get on the web, (if you don’t have a computer Just call), and you will get a app, in your choice of 23 different languages.
On it, you check the box, you are a Citizen. (Absolutely NO Need for Proof), and enclose, Proof , that you are a resident of Minn.

That is why Minn is, (6 YEARS now) behind on the, ‘Enhanced D.L’, (or enhanced I.D) because to get one, you HAVE to have a B.C. showing your are a USA Citizen.

Yet, a, ‘regular, one is enough to vote on.
To get a regular DL, pass a simple test. (The Car can even be Provided), and they print on it, What Ever You Tell then to !
To get a I.D. card, just tell what you want printed, and, poof, you have one.

Things sure have changed haven’t they !
