Soldiers are not supposed to be used as political tools.

Dude, that is EXACTLY what they are.

LOL, no, they're not.  Against foreign political adversaries, not our own government's party/partisan p!ssing matches.

Wow, the lengths you'll go to defend this moron...

The lengths you'll go to attack Trump only you make you look like a moron.

Ah, I see, the ol' "I know you are, but what am I" ploy, huh mark?  Wow.. savvy!  Cheesy

Of course the military is a political tool. How many times do we deploy troops with no real intention of fighting or how often do we hold 'war games'?  This is done to send a message.

Yeah, to foreign governments/adversaries.  Not from the repubs to the dems.  Not to influence our own midterms.  How stupid is that???

Look, attack Trump all you want, you live to do that. But you make yourself look incredibly stupid by taking an opposite position without thinking through.

No mark, I have thought it through.

I don't want my president to deploy troops to flex his inept little muscle for the sake of an election (which, btw, he did very poorly in anyway).

I personally know families that were directly affected due to his stupidity/vanity.

But yeah, you keep defending this moron and see who comes out looking stupid.

Here's the thing. All hyper-partisans (and let's face it, all of us on here are) run the risk of defending or opposing a position strictly because it benefits or harms the opposition.

To say the military is not a political tool is a stupid statement, but one which is understandable. It's a good reminder that before taking such as extremist stance, you stop and think it through.

Well, you'd lose that bet mark.

Yeah, follow your own advice for once.
