I know people that work full and part time for the Fed Gov.
They are, ‘layed-off’ now.
Here is, ‘Observed Reality”, on what has happened in all the past, ‘shutdowns’, and what is happening now.
The past:
Shutdown = PAID Vacation Days. Because every time in the past, when the Fed Gov shut down, after they got back to work the Con/Rep’s/Pres, signed a one time bill, to reimburse them for their lost wages.
Don’t know if All of them did. I know the ones I know did.
For them,
Shutdown = Paid Vacation Time, which did not affect any accrued vacation as to their contract of employment.Today: I am guessing, that the Fed Gov employees who are out of a job, temporarily, are ‘betting’ on they will be reimbursed for the time off, like in the past.
So, I believe, that is the reason, all the Bars, Restaurants, are plum full. And all the other places are doing a very big bang up business. Because many costumers, are, ‘betting’ on the fact, (as in the past), Instead of getting paid to sit at a desk, pushing a piece of paper back and forth. They get paid to sit at a bar, and bend their elbow.
Wonder why the Ultra Lefty, Progressive, Socialist Fairy Dust Sprinklers,
are not getting their panties in a bunch about that ? Now in Jan or Feb. When the reports of how much money was spent in the last part of Dec.
GEE, Wonder how the T.D.S, people, will ’spin’ that ?
