OK, so I have a question from Australia.

If D.Trump is a Republican, and the GOP have a majority in both houses, then why does the government need to shut down to get 'The Wall' funded?

BTW, I know that our government (in fact the whole Australian Parliament) has a terrible recent history in terms of immigration. However, Trump is the CIC of the most powerful military in the world ... so I am interested in that.

I just don't understand the confusion on your side of the pond.

Help a brother out.
