Mn, do you ever listen to yourself? One policemen killed in CA.( That he died is a shame)but, One in 90,000 doesn't strike me as bad odds for people who knowingly CHOOSE a job that will put their life at risk. 51 others also died last year , 1 N.Y. State trooper whom I meet and talk to a few times . This happens to be law enforcement week ,if see one you might thank him for his service, but I highly doubt the WALL would have saved the life of either.

Some boring statistics:  Since 9/11/2001 there have been some 23 "terrorist" attacks leaving 151 dead here in the US.  Not all would by many be considered terrorist attacks, some were racial and some anti religious in nature.  Those that were clearly were Anthrax in 2001 KIA 5, Beltway Sniper 2002(?) KIA 17, Ft.Hood   2009 KIA 13, Boston Marathon 2013 KIA 3, San Bernadino 2015 KIA 14. Orlando Nightclub 2016 KIA 49.
(and yes the number injured was higher.)

For comparison, the NHSA traffic deaths for 2001 thru 2016 totaled 607,547!   Perhaps we should implant all drivers, especially any who failed a sobriety test or were seen driving distracted.
