Nobody of any significance made a deal out of a good looking rich girl making a video of herself dancing. This is her "Trump-like" ability to manipulate the media. What I'd like to know is, does she realize that yet? My thought is she does to a degree but I'm not sure she knows how much.

She's a natural politician. She is a potential star with a tough job ahead of her. Very few can walk on top of the razor blade she's set out for herself. She needs a few behind the scenes people with exceptional abilities to guide her through the learning curve. Without that, she's a supernova.

Here's something to watch for. How will the heavyweights in the Democratic Party treat her? If they slyly attack her, it means they're afraid of her. If they push her to the front, they're trying to knock her down a few pegs. On her own, she's going to trip up badly which is why they'd like her to get publicity now. If they ignore her, they're not afraid and made the calculation she's not a long term player.

How Harris, Warren and Booker treat her will be very telling.

So funny how you make up excuses for her popularity.

Face it mark - the majority of the country is behind her type of thinking. She is in no way a "natural politician". That's exactly why everyone in DC is scared sh!tless of her.

She took no PAC money. She's not beholden to anyone but her constituents and she's not backing down from her ideals. Pretty much the antithesis of today's "normal"politician - dem or repub.

AOC is the real deal. For the same reasons Beto did so well against ted, she's what America is looking for.

Progressives are the future of this country. If the republicans ever gain their sanity back and stop working for everyone but their donors, then there might be a place for them as well.

But until then - they are going to get pounded by the likes of AOC.

My point exactly. Approximately 7500 followers and following 7500 others. I've never heard of him. I follow most of the major pundits on both sides of the aisle and not a single one follows him. This is the equivalent of the New York Times quoting someone from this forum as a Left Wing Pundit. It's a manufactured 'outrage'.

I love that you think she has "power" - good on her! She's doing something that many dems have failed to do!

About this post and the "pundit". You're right in saying that he's not popular, but that's just what he was trying to do, become popular - and failed.

It's the mindset of many the right. This yutz was trying to gain followers by tearing down AOC, trying to show some sort of "scandalous past" Whenever they (the right) try to show how "terrible" a dem is - it's almost laughable.

You yourself posted "Our new country's gonna be great!" - posting a link to Rashida Tlaib calling trump a MF-er.

Yet it's OK for trump to use that language, but not Rashida Tlaib?

How can you not see the hypocrisy?

So, when the media pics up on a wannabe righty pundit trying to tear down AOC for the simple fact of being in a video dancing - I'm elated to see them point out the failure of that school of thought.
