They're still around too.  Most have been turned into obscene bobbers and such.  But there are a few unmolested stock ones still for sale -- for a pretty penny though.

I had an XS650 back in the day. Loved it. It vibrated but only once every telephone pole. Would have lasted forever with all those ball bearings!  I still have the Yamaha service manual after all these years. Smiley
