I took a trip up to Tahoe with my father who got his license recently. I had him ride the little savage while I rode the "little" sporty. 4-5 hours of riding and I couldn't help but laugh sometimes at what sounds almost exactly like a helicopter roaring down the mountains at certain RPM's. This was the first time I've heard my savage 3rd person and what sounds like a lawnmower on the seat actually sounds pretty cool when beside it. Kinda cool when you think you know something and it turns out you were wrong its actually even better.

A few weeks back when I was at the shop I decided to have them flush my brake fluid. So it was a nice day and thought I'd wait outside.
After awhile I heard a bike start up around the corner of the building and then it started going and I thought to myself dang that's a great sounding bike I wonder what it is. A few seconds later my Thumpy comes around the corner with the mechanic on board. Well, I thought that's what I sound like to others. Pretty cool! Cool

It is a bit weird when you ride with other fellow on Savages. As you ride and the exhaust sound goes in and out of phase between the two bikes....it either amplifies or cancels the sound of the other bike. So at times it sounds like the other rider is opening/closing the throttle....however visually they stay at the same speed. When this first happened it took me a while to figure out what was going on.

My dog knows the sound of my bike.......when I come home she is standing in the driveway waiting!

Someday I will be old......But not today!
