There is a comparison between the W 800 -vs- the RE 650 . You should read the article before buying either on of them . Apparently there is about $3,500 difference in price too. I understand they are both desirable bikes !

The proposed "classic" look is is far more appealing to me. The good news is that I am currently "satiated" with the bikes I currently own, and I am not looking to buy anything!

RE wins this "shootout" for me. I don't even need to read the article to know that. Edit: Okay I read the article and ralize that there is a new version of the W800 that will look more like the original W650. That's a good thing, but they are still pricey.

Posts: 3806 osceola new york Gender:	Re: new W800 Reply #6 - 08/10/19 at 12:28:30 I'm not going to knock the RE due to the price, but the extra money for the w-800 might be worth it if you intended to keep it long term ,never having to adjust or replace the cam chain could end up being cheaper in the long run, if replacement on the RE required getting into the center cases.
