Why is it that the windshield on my motorcycle or my helmet visor flattens so many bugs - while my car seems to squash far fewer?
In order to get home I have to pass through low areas with farm fields and a creek along the road, and if I try to get home in the evening just after sunset the number of bugs that I kill is pretty impressive - however there seems to be far more casualties on my narrow bike than happens on my much bigger car. And this year there are a lot more black butterflies in the area - between curves I get to dodge butterflies!
Perhaps the car windshield is a bit more aerodynamic and the bugs stay with the moving air and don't smash as often - but I very seldom need to clean my car windshield.....while I have to clean my helmet visor and windshield on the motorcycle after every ride (unless the ride was really short).

Angle of attack? car windshield is glass rather than poly? bugs are drawn to headlights ,and are spaced much lower on your car? (maybe that LED's being brighter have the disadvantage of drawing more critters?) You know the old saying ,-you can tell a happy motorcycle rider by the bugs in his teeth! I don't know if it would help much ,but you could try a product like Rain -X .

Not sure about my head - but my Scorpion helmet is....it looks like an astronaut helmet! They must only have one size shell and just keep adding padding to make it fit.

In my area it is the love bugs that crop up. What a mess they can create.

This is the reason why. Take a look at
. The bugs get a push up from the air rising from the nose of your car. Bikes don't have that.

My car doesn't look nearly that classy - but I suppose the principal is the same.

Dave,
Your car is pretty aerodynamic, especially with that rounded nose. Here's a picture I had from our last trip to NC.

If the fellow in that little car runs into something.....he is going to have a pipe sticking out the back of his neck!
