I want to flow my head but I don't have a flow bank. I want to see what the exhaust port looks like and where exactly I have to remove something to get a better flow. Here I pour some molten mold material into the outlet port. Here the result:

Lancer has supped up one of his bikes (REX) to the point that it don't even feel like a Savage , but more like a race bike. I only rode it once but it was very impressive. So , I know the potential is there , if you can find it. Wink

So zevenenergie , your going to stream-line the exhaust flow ?
Here is another question for ya : Is there a way to design the exhaust (header/muffler) to pull a vacuum on the header-pipe ? I've seen the inside of the exhaust chamber and it looks "roundish" instead of "stream-line"
On the intake side I believe Suzuki already has the "Twin-Swirl" flow going on , I think Yamaha pioneered it but they all have it now if they want it.

I was ridding with a bunch of big cruisers last weekend and wanted to pull over at the "scenic overview "one mile ahead"" from 5th in line , ridding double , going up hill , I had power to catch the leader and tell him I wanted to stop at the over-view before we got to it . I did have to kick it down into 4th to make it happen ... but that's how stock engines are . Embarrassed

If I recall correctly, rubber is slightly more flexible than hard, dried wax...but as soon as those folks storming Area 51 this week break in and release the cosmic wave machine and aliens who the h*ll knows what physics it will alter in our universe.

Suzuki could not have made a more crookedy, convoluted passage if they had tried (or maybe they did try). It is no wonder this engine runs out of steam as the rpm increases!

Where did you buy it ? This should be used on every engine build. Before and after port work. Once it is properly trimmed you could see the difference by how much water it displaces , how much was removed during port work. Lawn mowers have better ports than the Savage !

Yes, the intention is to flow the port. but I've never tuned a 4-stroke before, so can't answer your questions. I do have experience with boosting 2-stroke engines. That is much more complicated, but very easy in terms of implementation.
I already read that the port needs to be filled up a bit, but I am looking for a suitable material.
In any case, I have been able to measure that the material in the bump is 6.5 mm thick. I've already removed 4mm from that. and I have removed material around the valve guides.

I have looked at the performance parts that lancer make, s and sells. That stage 3 camschaft makes me greedy Tongue

Has anyone tried a turbocharger?

Its Vinamold, a rubber like material. It melts as you worm it up and gets hard wen it cools down.

DragBikeMike has already been experimenting with the filler - so far he has found material that will hold up for the intake port - but not in the exhaust. You should read his thread, as he has been doing flow testing.

Nobody on the forum has turbocharged - but one member has used a supercharger. It took a while for him to get it working - ultimately he got it to work OK...but did have issues with detonation and heat.
