Are you driving him again this time.......like you did from Texas to Tucson? I thought the military had trucks and planes and boats to move their personal with?
Na , Dave . He is home on leave till the last part of Oct. Then he is flying to S. Korea for a year.
The Military makes you supply your own transportation if you want to do anything personal:
They would have flown him from Tuscon to Seattle then on to S.Korea , but since he wanted to visit home before going to S.Korea , he has to supply his own transportation from Tuscon to home then from Home to Seattle .
The military is not very user-friendly .

Last year we did a LOT of walking and I got tired, so I am bringing my new pop-up couch this year.

I am all packed.....then I did some repacking.
The weather forecast has changed. Thursday for my ride down will be 99, Friday 95, Saturday 94....Sunday for the ride home 88.
It is going to be a scorcher!
The low tonight in KY will be a normal high temperature for this time of year!

Yep...I am going to bring my camelback thingy for water and a change of clothes and tennis shoes to change into for the day (no, I won't need help changing). Walking around in heavy boots and kevlar pants in that heat does not sound appealing.

The ride down started out fine at 65 degrees and stayed nice until around 11AM when we crossed Jellico mountain. We soon where in the 80’s and very quickly into the 90’s. The last couple of hours it was clos to 100, and often the bike gauge read 102!
We rode 530 miles today.
