Dave, my aim is to be wheels up around 6:30am, ETA 8:30am. Unless the area is crowded we will plan to park in the same area over by the food and bike vendors, etc. and let you know when we arrive.

I wouldn't ride behind anyone on anything, unless she just happened to be really pretty.

Today was just a bit less hot - but only by a couple degrees.
I will swing by the Wall of death to see what time the shows are - tentatively lets meet at 11 on Sat.

but it was a 'dry' heat, not as bad as I feared. Hope to meet up sometime this weekend. Cheers!

Looks to me like he spent some time with Elton John. Maybe Elton gave them to him.

Made it to Barbers and back. Spent the day with Dave and gang and we met up with Badwolf for a bit. It was ridiculously hot as expected but with the help of some faucet water and a few $4 waters we survived. It was a great day and we will do it again next year. Didn't take many photos, but I did get a few of the mx stunt bikes.

Someone said flames were shooting out of the savage muffler. Considering it runs a bit rich at low throttle and it was this hot after the 90 minute ride home, I can understand....

I made it home today....and got a bit wet in the process. It rained last night just after we got to the hotel, and I was lucky enough to get one of the 4 parking spaces under the canopy. The bike and roads were dry when we left this morning, and we stayed dry until we got about 30 minutes north of the TN/KY border. It only rained for a couple miles and we were back in the dry for a while - but it came back hard and the last 3 hours were in the rain.
Traffic on I-75 is scary.....78-82 mph will allow you to ride in the center or left lane and blend in with traffic. We passed a few TN patrol cars at that speed, and they don't seem to care - wonder how fast you have to drive to get a speeding ticket?
I rode 1,120 miles on the trip down and back and around Birmingham.
This year I did not see any of the bike show, motocross or trials....just flea market, road racing, Wall of Death, Globe riders, Trick jumpers and vendors, and a few hours in the museum. The museum would take a full day alone!
I plan on going next year for sure!
