Time for inspection.

Was going to get bike inspected but took a good like a tires and no way they will pass. So, I just ordered a set of Shinko 712 tires. This will be my fourth 712 rear and the first 712 front tire. I figured the rear has been a really good tire so time to try the front. My current front tire is a Shinko 230 and it has been quite good but I am hoping the 712 will be a bit better. I have used the 230 on the rear once but switched back to the 712 rear as I feel the 712 is just as good, if not better than the 230, but the 712 gave me more miles. Once I get the tires I will take the bike to get inspected. Hopefully they will not think my exhaust is too loud.

I did not keep track on this last one but it appears I am getting between 9 and 10k miles on the rear. The front Shinko 230 has gone through one 230 rear and one 712 rear so I am guessing it is at around 17-18k miles. The 712 does not give you the mileage of the Michelin Commander, which I thought about getting, but it is a good tire and I like the idea of keeping fresh rubber on the bike.

The set (100-90-19 front, 140-90/15 rear) delivered with taxes was right at $154.00 at BikeBandit. Oh, I forgot, that includes new tubes also.

Love the smell of fresh rubber. Tires and tubes have arrived. They will probably sit until the weekend of 29th as this weekend Kawasaki is having demo rides and I intend go ride the Vulcan S, W800 and maybe the Ninja 400 and anything else that looks appealing.

JOG - Hang them? I thought it was to keep the mirror dry!
MM - I figured I would just see what these bikes are like. The Vulcan S does sound quite interesting.
