Wow , I believe he should have got the biggest motor HF has !  A 22HP V-twin would do good on that monster bike.    Or even the 11HP single motor ...  Roll Eyes
..............................................................

I had the thought to use a Savage to do the same thing , but had the idea to use a torque converter instead of a transmission with the 22HP motor.   I did see a HD done with a 35HP Diesel water pump motor and a torque converter that worked just fine.   I saw it in Tn. but it had Oregon plates on in ???   Huh

That Harbor Davidson is a hoot and fun to look at - but it isn't anything you are going to want to ride or own long term.  The smoothness and acceleration of a real motorcycle engine is far superior to what a lawn mower engine of any size can provide.  It is a novelty and might be fun at Bike Week, Sturgis, campground or any other place where traffic is at parade speeds - but is likely a hazard and waaay too slow to be safe to ride on a modern highway.  Back in the 1980's I drove a VW bus with a 40HP engine - the National Speed Limit was 55mph and I could maintain 60mph on the flat and on the steep hills would tuck in behind a semi and claw my way up the hill........you could not drive the bus safely on the highway today (Same for the Harbor Davidson).

They paid $2,000 for the used Harley, the engine is $119 at Harbor Freight, they spend $400 modifying the engine to get from 6.5HP to 18HP.....and they didn't say what they spent on chains and sprockets - and they didn't include any idea what their labor was worth...or what the original engine could be resold for.  I would suspect that they could have rebuilt the motor and kept on doing the Potato-potato thing for a while for about the same amount of money and time they spent converting it to the Harbor Davidson.

For about the same amount of money you could get a real motorcycle.

And you can buy nice Japanese V-Twins by the dozen for $2,000 - $3,000.

I wasn't aware the sound board was separate from the motherboard on those but I'm no expert.  Makes sense though.

I wonder what it would take, is it possible, to put one in that would allow me to connect to a blutooth speaker..
I would like for it to have sound,,

PM me the exact model of that laptop, or is it a tower? and I will see.  My experience is adding the hardware is easy, but the drivers can be a pain sometimes.
