How many miles can you ride before needing a charge ?
Can you carry a power cord with you ?

I am not in the market for an electric bike - the limited range is just a huge deterrent for me. And.........there are just too many nice petrol powered motorcycles at very good used prices. It is amazing what you can buy in the $3,000 - $4,000 range.
An electric trials motorcycle however would be really tempting for me.....if only they were cheap enough that I could justify having another toy!

I'm thinking :
My next car might be a hybrid , but when the battery goes dead I want a backup plan.
I rode Deb's electric bike while at Dave's last month (pedal back-up) , it was very impressive.

I sold my 2nd S40 last October, still regretting it. However, rather than buy another to replace it, If I could find a battery/motor for $3000 or less, I'd stick it in my current frame and start experiencing what Tesla owners are enjoying. I've eliminated the understeer on my bike and am starting to obsess about electrics. Teslas in my town are as common as Civics!

Bingo! how did you find that? Need to get my head around the looks.
On second thought, it may be smarter to build a frame around the batteries instead of trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Also, the motor should be in the frame, not the wheel (centralized mass).
Oh well........
Cheers!
ps: if you can run a motor in the rear wheel, why not both wheels, front wheel drive?
