I've got to confess. I have this little Yamaha Zuma 50cc scooter that I ride the dickens out of usually. It is an oil injected 2 stroke.

I bought it on a lark once about 7 years ago when I was dealing on some used tires for my yard pickup.

$100 took her home and it's a RAT!! But I love this thing
It's got over 9000 miles on it now.

My grandsons have beat the heck out of it and every year it just starts right up and asks for more.

I've been moving all spring. We're moving from SD to MN where my wife is from. The other day I threw this Zuma in my van and hauled it to the new place and dumped it out in the shop.

I don't have any of my motorcycles here yet and I, desperately, wanted to go for a ride. I dug the Zuma out from behind a pile of pallets and kicked it twice and it was running.

Hadn't been started since last year and started like I drove it to breakfast this morning. The thing is unbelievable.

Anyone else have one of these little scooters??

I had a Buddy Pamplona 150cc (4 stroke) that I put over 40K miles on.  It was an absolute blast and I rode in some pretty cold temps commuting on that thing.  Coldest was about 19 degrees, I think.
Scooters are a blast to ride, but the 10 inch wheels made me nervous over 50 mph.  

I have always enjoyed small motorcycles for local rides.

A few year ago I got a 1962 Honda 65cc bike from an estate sale.  It was fun - but a little challenged by the local hills.

Last year I was given a 1965 Suzuki Hillbilly that was 80cc.  It had more power - but was still a bit challenged for speed.

Now I have a 1980 Honda CB125S.  It goes up the hills just fine and 45mph is a comfortable speed on it.

Years ago (early 80's) I had a friend that had a Honda SL125 and an XL100 if I remember correctly. They seemed to do just fine for my friend. I rode them both a few times and enjoyed them a good bit.
