Back when I still had an S40, I had a bag like this: https://www.sportsmans.com/camping-gear-supplies/powersports/atv-accessories/... on the back fender. You might need to trim the little circle to clear the rectifier. I kept my rain gear in one side and put my work backpack in the other on the commute. I thought I got the idea from here but I can't find the thread.

Thanks sjaskow, I found some the other day that I liked but did not order. The ones you show look pretty nice. I'll have to do a side by side comparison.
