I went out and tried it on my 600 pound motorcycle - and it does make a big difference! Turning the front wheel to the right lowers the height of the bike and it is more upright when you pull the bike off the sidestand. I believe the concept is that when the bike is leaning to the left and the bars are turned to the left......the front tire contacts the ground more toward the front of the tire and lifts the front end slightly, and when you turn the bars to the right the front tire contacts the ground farther back on the tire and the bike height drops a bit and leans a bit less.

Pointing left it is much more stable. If you want to keep a bike from accidentally being downed,walk away with it pointed left. And to the right
It gets light.
Imo, if I need That advantage to get it stood up, I'm on too many pounds of bike.
A friend offered to let me ride his bike and it was a Guzzi, not exactly a monster, but I'm not comfortable with the weight, so I passed. I Wanted to, but, DAYUMM,, bounce a friends bike just to take a short ride? Naah. I know my limits..

Yea , sometime the weight of having a passenger makes staying upright hard to do even on a med weight bike ! Wink

especially on unlevel ground !!

Having a clutch that is easy to work would be a real plus in staying up on un-level ground . I think one of those new "SLIPPER CLUTCHES" might be on my next bike ! Huh

I will try this on my 700 pound Rocket... when it gets out of the shop. :'(

I have not had any issues getting it upright off the kickstand, but that kickstand is too long (my opinion) and I am thinking about getting another one that I can have cut down about half an inch.
If that occurs, I may to do this trick to get it off the stand!

OH.. yeah. In the shop. Looks like charging system is not working. It will jump start OK, but dies as soon as the jumper cable comes off.
Good news.. still under manufacturer warranty!!!
