Don’t know if anything special needed, just going through and picking out a few necessary things but always seem to end up with a full bag and
a box or two...but it’s all less than 50 lbs. 😎

I do have a relatively comprehensive collection of knuckle busters in case someone needs something in the way of tools.  Also a few spare parts of various quality.

I packed my tool box....it has most the tools you need to fix a Savage as long as it doesn't require honing a cylinder!

Our drive was good today and we made pretty good time and the weather was dry and the headwinds tolerable.  Deb and I got to the north side of Little Rock and stopped for the night - once you leave this area the hotels get scarce for a while.

When we got to the hotel and turned on the news there was a tornado that touched down about an hour north of here.....glad we were able to get south of there before that weather arrived.

We did see 3 bad accidents on Route 40.  One was in the other lane and not sure what it was - one was an older Ford Explorer that had rolled mulitple times in the grass median and threw the contents of the interior all over the grass.  The SUV was on it's top with all 4 wheels pointing up, and the eastbound lane was blocked and the medics were loading the driver up on a stretcher.  The other accident was a semi that had gone off the left side of the road and ripped all the suspension off the front end.  It was weird to see all three of these accidents in a 40 mile stretch.

Steve arrived here at my house a few hours ago. We went out for dinner and an ice cream. We will be heading out in the morning and hope to get to camp by 5 pm possibly sooner.

There's a Norton Rally in western Pennsylvania (USA).  They do this every year.

I may be the only reporter on this trip.....as I don't believe the fellows staying In the campground have any internet access.

Yesterday youzguys led the group on a ride to Leaky and we rode the Twisted Sisters.  Riding in Texas is a bit different, as the 2 lane local roads can have speed limits up to 75mph!
The day started out with temps in the low 60's and it warmed up quickly - later in the day we got up to the high 80's.

Our breakfast stop where we met had the roof blown off in a storm the previous afternoon - so we rode on to Leaky and had breakfast Taco's at LaLa's.   After the ride on the sisters we had a hamburger at the Bent Rim grill.  We rode a total of 231 miles on Monday......it as a good day!

Youzguys did a great job of leading us around today.  We met in Kendalia and then headed out on a lot of back roads to see the open range ranches and a lot of cattle guards and low water crossings.  The ride started out sunny but by 9:30 the clouds had taken over and the temperature was a bit cooler than yesterday.  We skipped having a formal breakfast and we ate brownies from the Kendalia General Store.

The roads wandered around the creeks and rivers.   The rivers and streams all have dams erected frequently to hold the water and keep it from just washing downstream and being gone forever.  This keeps the water available for the ranchers and their livestock.  There was a forecast for evening rain so we went home a bit...I think it was around 4PM when we turned for home.  Deb and I saw cars with the wipers on as we got near comfort - but we made it home dry.  The other fellows made it to the Kerrville campground dry - but youzguyz got wet on his way home.  It did rain lightly overnight but the rain was gone and the roads mostly dry by the morning.  We rode 178 miles today.

On Wednesday we met at a gas station in Comfort, Texas...….youzguyz rode his massive Triumph Rocket 3.  The rest of us followed behind him and experienced the wake turbulence from this massive 2.5 liter motor with a 240mm wide rear tire!

We spent the day riding around the area north and northeast of Fredericksburg and stopped for lunch in Llano and had great BBQ.  Springman did his best impression of Jethro Bodine and put away a massive amount of Pork, Sausage and Brisket!
