But I haven't got the bosses approval yet ... It runs 50 and 60 like the Savage did , 74 has an electrical governor comes in. But Its averaging 80-90 mpg. so I can live with 55-65 mph. There also the 250-300 mile cruise range .

Hi Ruttly

I've run up 2600+ miles on it already , Its like a smooth Savage . 72mm piston , 86mm stroke , two valves/cylinder , nice counter weight and such a heavy flywheel that it does 4 compression strokes after its cut off , from an idle.

Its SOO SMOOTH ,

Its also a little heaver than the Savage , but sits and handles the same

Not having Super-Slab speed is the only thing missing. But I live 40 miles from the interstate so I don't miss it. 6100 rpm is max power , about 80mph , so one could hold it wide open against the speed limiter OK . That great fuel millage comes while doing back roads at 45-55mph. :'(

I've still got the Guzzi if I need an Interstate machine . The Savage taught me how important the "Cruise-Range" is when switching bikes. Last time I had a bike that got over 90mpg , it was a Honda CD175. And I was 18 years old.

I believe those dates would work for me.

I will do a little route and lodging exploring - maybe I can find a place we can meet on the way to the Rattler and ride it together, then head over to Mo's to stay the next few days and ride over to the Devils Triangle.

I'm working on getting my fencing and bush hog stuff done up.

By two more weeks of it , I'll need a break ! Wink

I'm still looking for that "Retirement Lawn-Chair" in the back yard ??? Roll Eyes

Hay , I haven't rode the Dragon in 2022 yet !!!

We've had at least one DRAGON RUN per year for as long as I can remember.

Any of you fellers WEST of me are welcome to my spare bed room if ya care to join us. I'm one short days ride west of the Dragon (1/2 way across TN.) .

I can put your back-pack on my bike for ya ... if it ain't too BIG

I have 2 each - 24L side cases , and one 28L trunk , and a passenger seat/sissy bar - w/cargo net.
Two pair of socks and some clean long johns is all I need , I can tie the tent on the front under the headlight , (that will wreck the fuel millage - but what the heck ... its a DRAGON RUN). Cool

Well , maybe a clean shirt or two ? One side case full . Roll Eyes
