It had to be the Blast !

I think those blacked out models are a little on the ugly side , IMHO !  Roll Eyes

I refilled the fuel tank today after some 60-65mph ridding and it only averaged 95.958mpg this time !  Embarrassed

Hay Versey , I might have to keep this one a while .  I've only bought two new bikes ever (Guzzi and Enfield) and I hate to loose money on selling bikes.   All the used ones I've had have sold for about what I paid for them (except that second Harley).   Come to think of it the first Harley too !  Embarrassed
No more Harleys ever !  Smiley

Actuality , I think the Enfield is running about 4k (max power) rpms at 55mph , but it redlines at 6100 .   I ran it up the mountain where the Big Giant-Rock Church is today.  It went right up it in high gear without needing full throttle even.   On the curves where I had to slow down it even willingly sped up in high gear between curves going up hill with no problem  .    This machine is so much like the LS650 that it seems like a modern version of it.

Ya'll know Honda make a 350 to sell in India that we don't get here in the States ?
https://www.hondabigwing.in/cb350
I would have bought it for the same money , but Honda must not think gas prices in the USA are "HIGH ENOUGH YET" . ???   Undecided

Probably everyone here knows more than I do about engine break in, but I thought if it's not all the way broken in and it's being asked to work pretty hard it would be happier if you changed gears and used different loading and RPM.

I've done the 300 mile oil change on time and now have about 500 total miles on the clock.   Its not working hard to do 65 mph on flat ground and the rpms might be up to 4750 ?   I'm just going by the instructions to the most part.   The main idea seems to be : Heat it up and cool it down , then repeat and don't do full throttle for the first 300 miles no matter what .  Smiley

I still haven't done full throttle with the motor running .  Grin
If I need fast I'll take the Guzzi .   Wink
Most of my getting around is doing 45-60 on local roads and that is where I'm getting near 100mpg at , so all is well !   Smiley

Its feels like the S-40 but w/less powerful stroke and a heavier flywheel.

That's a sweet bike MMR.  Sounds like it has ample go-power and the fuel economy is off the hook.  Can you actually do like 350+ miles on a full tank?  Wow!

Sort of ,

The fuel tank holds 3.9 US gallons , and the fuel light comes on after 2.4 gallons are gone .

But I'd go to 300 miles without any concern .   That would be 5 hours of 55 mph ridding ... I don't think my rear or bladder can do that ?  Grin

350's have been a neglected size in the developed world for many years, it's good to see them making some sort of comeback.

Well the fuel mileage sure makes it attractive. 🌝🌝

Ya'll remember the RD350 from the 1970s , That would be a lot like the Kawasaki 400 of today.

The CB350 I had back then got about twice the fuel millage as the cars of the day.
Now my Chevy Sonic gets about 40mpg and the 350's of today get about twice the fuel millage of the cars of today , so I guess all things are staying balanced !  Smiley

Just wait till gas gets to $6.00 a gallon ... or $7.00 a gallon , the rest of the world pays so much more than we do for fuel that our price almost "has" to go up ?

Hmm $NZ 3.20 per litre 91 RON, similar to AKI 87 $NZ 3.20 X 3.9 =$NZ 12.48. Exchange  rate a $NZ buys about 62 US cents, so $NZ 12.48 would work out to about $US7.74 per US gallon, if my arithmetic is correct, which maybe debatable.

$12.48 gallon  / .62 exchange-rate = $20.12903225806452 gallon. US.

That sounds crazzy , how do ya'll get to ride anywhere ?   Huh
