The pitch had JUST been made and the catcher immediately throws directly into the batter. If it was an accident then why didn’t he check to see if the batter was ok before turning to the umpire?

IDK the rules. I was just thinking he's kinda in the way, but it's pretty obvious he threw the ball right into the batter. I'm absolutely terrible at hitting anything. Throwing anything and hitting the intended target is just not something I do well. But even I would not have hit the guy. Well, not with the ball, anyway. My spastic follow through Mighta come close.

So yeah, the catcher is being dumb here. lol

You know, that's what I thought but there's numerous clips of the catcher attempting to throw a runner out and striking the batter or his bat and he's called out for interference.

I'd like to see what happened after the clip.
