Realize a dream

I’ve built many bikes , but the tracker has been a journey. The sense of achievement & pride in what you build is good for the soul. I’m thinking this might be my last build but I doubt it it’s in my dna to build another. To all if your thinking about it , then build it. It increases you skills and confidence in you skills we have a lot of skilled people here for help and advice. This Savage family has someone in every area as resident guru , fear nothing.
Realize a dream , build yourself a custom Savage.

Ruttly, Well put, I think a lot of us are here to realize the dream of a build, whether elaborate or minimal. The great thing about our rides is they can become anything. The geometry is such that they can go from Cafe to Chopper and if you want a big single off road bike it can become that too. There is little to curtail the imagination of what you can do with a Savage/S40.

Thanks for the post, Ruttly! I’d love to build a custom bike, hopefully the prices will start coming down again at some point soon!

For as simple as my build was, it still brings me great joy while riding it and every time someone says "What year is that 1972, 73?"

Living the dream!  I absolutely love the way mine is turning out, and I have never ridden one let alone heard one run in person.  I have a sneaky suspicion that this bike will be too much fun to ride than to sell.  Ruttly is right...  if you want something build it!  Lots of challenges, lots of labor.  But WAAAY worth it when you finish.

I like when the build gets totally out of control , you have a vision in your mind and do anything to make it happen. It becomes big , eat , sleep & dream the build. Selling whatever to fund the project, yup it’s a sickness. I know this all sounds familiar if your a builder.
