Need help - removed stator cover, gear fell out
09/01/22 at 15:35:07
Guys, I need help ASAP, I removed the stator cover and a gear fell out, now I'm not sure which way it faces as its flat on one side and has protrusion on the other side. I think its the starter gear. I also understand there should be 2 washers, I only found one, I think it fell out with the gear, is it going behind the gear or on top of the gear between the stator cover?
Also, what are the torque specs for the stator cover?

the washers go on the torque limiter gear only (1 on either side), not the idler gear next to the starter.
Take a look at the gear when you get it installed, does it line up with the TLG?
the washer might be stuck to the case with oil, or on the rotor... dam magnets.
we post these lists in the tech section for a reason.

Yep, I figured that part out, I was confused by other posts. The idler gear fell out, I though the washer goes on the idler gear. I put the washer on the torque limiter gear.
