Not to bring down your excitement, but m pretty sure by "petcock" he meant the Raptor style petcock. The OEM is problematic.

Raptor petcock seems to work fine, I'm suspicious that it is a Chinese fake sold as a Yamaha genuine oem. The front of the petcock selector knob is all rough like someone put it on a grind wheel to it or something. And it had some kind of thick black dust like particle schmutz all over the front of it. Packaging looked like it had come from overseas; really beat up.
Is there a cottage industry for buying the $10 Chinese ones and passing them off as the $35 genuine Yamaha ones?
I guess I'll find out if it gives me trouble.

Key issue is that it have the correct sized outlet.

May I ask , How much did you pay for the Ryca ?
Tanx
I traded two RC cars (Maxx & Xmaxx with extras) for a 96' CBR600F3. I then traded the CBR for the S40 RYCA. So basically $1500 more or less (the cost of the RC cars). Here's a pic:
Wow, what a great deal! You did well with your trading. Enjoy the bike, and be sure to read through this site, there’s a mountain of great information on here, and great people who are willing to help.

Aaand, that is Why I said
Buy from a brick and mortar Yamaha store.
Last time I bought one it was just shy of thirty bucks.

Thanks Edub, I am second guessing my trade now; my bike is in pieces all over the garage. No spark and no fix in sight. I'm slowly rewiring the whole bike. No joke ........ 15 years ago I got so sick of fixing old bikes, I went out and bought a new one with a warranty. Alas, I am too poor.
