Starter Motor wont turn off

I went for a ride today , and we all parked our bikes to stop. Once we went to start riding the bikes again I went to start my bike, but this time when i started every thing started up, but the starter motor did not shut off after the bike started. To make things worse, even after shutting the motor off and taking the key out of the ignition, the starter motor would not stop. Any ideas as to what is causing this? I did install a lithium ion battery earlier this year. its a 2019 s40.

2 possible issues
stuck relay or bad decomp controller.

a rap on the fender next to the ig switch might dislodge the contacts.
might never do it again or may be an issue from time to time.
it's never reoccurred on mine.

if that don't work, pull the decomp controller (little black box above the carb)
If that works then the controller is bad, get a new one.
if it doesn't work, repeat the 1st one. don't dent the fender.
