But none the less the half pint BSA should have a comparable power to weight ratio or better than the tracker.

Have you been including the weight of the rider and his gear when you do your math? Huh

The bike can't do anything without the rider at the controls.

I was thinking of that but neglected to do so. Thinking the same amount of weight added would be close to the same percentage difference. But as things evolve I will get more accurate. Any way you look at it , it’s still a 250  with maybe a max of 30 H/P against the massive flywheel of the Savage and I haven’t a clue on that H/P. She never fails to amaze me with git up n go , power like a faucet , she is a 0-90 beast. Got in a bit of a drag race with Harley bobber shocked his as$ , I was gone while he was spinning the wheel he caught me at 76 mph and was pissed , blew right by me and never looked back. It’s like the bike knows when it’s time to shine , I lost but I also won ! Stupid bike scares me at times , I’ve ridden some really fast bikes and the tracker doesn’t compare but she will let you “ Just Kiss Fast” and give you that thrill. A guy asked me if it was for sale yesterday. I would never sell her , she’s my favorite bike , i could never build another. When you’re low she will pick you up and set you straight on life’s priorities.

1/2 pint is 237 ish CC. 250 is 1/4 liter, but show me an American who would get it.
Quartet liter just doesn't resonate like half pint.

I haven't followed this thread and don't know what bike you're talking about. Where do I need to go back to to pick your story up?

I can’t drink just a half pint, so I quit drinking all together.

Spring fever has struck here in Houston.  Lows in the mid 60s.  Highs in the mid 80s.  I’m riding until the hips and back say STOP and then I keep riding and deal with the pain later.  😆

When are you planning to have the BSA road ready?  Or did I miss the memo?

Hopefully Half Pint  will make her debut mid to late spring , along with the F100. If I’m gonna ride vintage I might as well drive vintage. But life always make our projects late. Maybe leak a pic or 2 when she’s a roller. Maybe not in anyone else’s eyes but she will be kinda special. Not a vintage to stare at but a vintage to ride the crap out of.       Cool

Con-rod issues required some design changes. I'm sure you're aware.

Good looking little outfit..

That be it JOG. Lowered , lightened  and in black. Engine just slightly modified, ported head with custom intake & exhaust. Keeping stock piston & cam. But will remain recognizable to a stocker. Didn’t really want another black bike but it just happened that way in that quest for some original paint.

It’s new fuel tank day for the F100. Install & plumb fuel tank , then trim tail pipe I had made yesterday & install that too. It had a bad tail pipe and was dumping exhaust under cab. Now it dumps downward just in front of rear axle using original hanger too. It’s clean and out of he way , can’t wait to hear it , the old V8 runs like a Timex. New brake system come spring , maybe get seat completely repadded/recovered too. Little at a time. She may have got named inadvertently , GOT TETANUS          Grin Grin Grin

Fuel tank is in , sender wired , new filler neck & locking cap. Need a few bolts for running board so off to hardware store in am. Installed new tail pipe too. Center up the tank and tighten it all down and finish plumbing. Add 2 or 3 cans of fuel and fire it off. Next on the list ,  vacuum out cab remove seat and replace ignition switch & clean up some under dash wiring. Get it to start from inside the cab , instead of era correct hot wired ignition under the hood. It has ignition switch close to center of dash  and push button starter of the left. All the lights work , but turn signals don’t flash so it needs a new flasher  and maybe some door switches for courtesy light. Then back to the catalog to order the brake stuff. And check for my last tetanus shot !            Shocked

I don’t need the truck to go that far , maybe 50 mile radius. A vintage grocery getter , m/c shop , hardware store , small load to the dumps. It don’t have A/C so it’s gonna get warm in summer months. She oozes with history and will gather a few onlookers wherever it get parked. I’ll be sure to dress up the interior and maybe just maybe I’ll get my wife in it for a ride. Totally not her style , demands A/C. I used to love my old International C120 4x4 that I sold , so much fun to drive. I can’t wait to drive the F100 V8 4 speed , pretty sure it will do 55-60 , no power steering or power brakes always make a drive a new adventure. Going for that redneck look , highway tires on the front and a brand new set snow tires on the back. Already known locally cause of the tracker , gonna be a fun ride. It has to be tagged with Spring Fever Garage on the doors , I might even know a guy that paints store fronts , he knows how to free hand anything he sees , he is amazingly skilled. Gotta roll

It’s around here somewheres, can do the next job without it. Eeww that’s one dusty hat , I guess so it’s been hung up since I retired well over a year ago. That be my electrical hat , given some time and this hat  I’ll find , fix it or rewire it. If I have good luck on the F100 , just replacing ignition switch , then  my Honda TLR200 has a issue with turn signals. My Sunday morning cup of joe and get busy when the sun comes up. Electrical can be a mind phuck at times , but mostly it’s easy work , helps entertain the brain !
