That 17 year old analysis led to the encryption changes in today's modern machines. If you get the chance watch "Hacking Democracy" by HBO which addresses this exact issue on this exact machine.

Thankfully in the past 17 years they figured out how to resolve that specific issue.

My son works in IT. He is a highly gifted man, who Has made a stormy career in the IT department of a large financial organization. I asked him a while ago when we had this discussion whether it is possible to make a voting system whit voting machine,s safe. He didn't even have to think about it and laughed and said it's absolutely not possible.

For most people, the fairy tale is still very much alive, But for people who are busy every day with securing the most modern computer installations against equally genius computer hackers, the lies that are presented to us are no longer even surprising.

Voters intergiteid is not possible with voting machines and computer systems. The fact that they want you to believe that the problem has been solved and tell you it is safe, indicates that we have a problem.

And we have a problem, because without voter integrity all political activity is meaningless.
it has led to Trump now having to go to court for the fact that the election was not fair. And he resisted it.

He should get a medal of honor.

During the elections at the time I followed the counting of the votes on youtube. There are nerds who have studied satetics and release their knowledge on the whole thing as a kind of nerd hobby. you know how thous kids are. There was tis young kid who was totally exited about the way the results went because he clearly saw that there was cheating and he was able to clearly explain how the saw that. I then went to see other youtubers who were doing the same thing and they saw it too.

They saw the fraud unfold in real-time, and I watched how appalled they were.
And those were still innocent people.

I am sometimes amazed at how much knowledge my son has about what is wrong in the world because he is only 19. But he has the talent that he can easily recognice patters and is a master of abstract thinking.
He just looks how the world works and skips all the bull.

That's something I don't see many people do. Most people have been caught up in all sorts of judgments, opinions, assumptions, denials and perhaps worst of all, their lies with which they try to manipulate others.

I'm sure there are plenty of gaps in any voting system.

I also think a 17 year old analysis on a machine that is no longer used is not exactly an issue today.

Also the YouTubers that explain how those statistics are flawed. Literally for every video that explains cheating there is someone spouting out more statistics on how there was no cheating.

I went to a voting audit and people were crawling on the floors chasing power cables, saying the outlets had hidden USB ports and internet access. They had the outlets removed and replaced with witnesses, and still YouTubers claim the machines are secretly hard-wired. You know, as a nerd hobby.

Bottom line is voting fraud is only an issue for most people if they guy they like lost. For instance voting fraud is only addressed in a few states in the US, not all states, just the ones that can secure the win. If fraud were the issue, it should be addressed nationwide.

Yes.

I believe that each day, that is each DAY, some new virus is invented/improved/used, to affect Technology, that is 2 + days old.

So do I, however I think referencing 17 year old issues doesn't demonstrate this issue very well. Fake identification is equally strategized and implemented so I wouldn't use ID replication from 2006 to indicate how ID's are replicated today. The original post implies the issue exists today.

As far as I'm concerned if Trump won these same people wouldn't have issues with these machines. For the most part it's not about integrity of the voting process, it's about being mad that our guy didn't win.
