I have been riding the absolute crap out of it. Partly as a shake down and to figure out how to make the ergonomics better. the handlebars are a bit forward so i ordered some rivco handlebar risers that will bring them back 2 inches and up one. I need to add just a hair padding to the seat as its broken down from age and i think ill be set.

I got it for 3300 bucks, they had service records from when it was new and for all the modifications/paint. literally just rode it for daytona and a few trips. its not as good as zippy in traffic tho, its heavy lol

The pipes are Bub's Jug huggers and they are not cheap if you can even find em. couple i bought it from were retired military and just did not ride any more, it had been sitting for a few years. I asked them if they did their own work on it and the replay was "we have people for that" along with every service receipt since new. 18,000 miles total on the bike, its barely broken in.

I picked up a 97 Honda Shadow Spirit 1100 almost 3 years ago. It had 18k miles on it. Now has around 44k miles on it. You certainly feel the difference in weight between it and the S40. But they both put a big smile on my face. Happy for you!
