I don’t get it.  Is it just me…. How is 5,000 ILLEGAL immigrants tolerable and acceptable?  Is it the “new normal” that smaller amounts of illegalality is acceptable?  There needs to be zero tolerance for illegal border crossing - period.  There is a legal path that must be adhered to.  This may sound inhumane to some, but let them stack up at the Mexican border and let Mexico deal with it.  With most of the migrants now coming from countries south of Mexico, Mexico should be securing its southern border.  Mexico will stop being a conduit if we secure our border and let them fill up their country if they won’t plug their southern border.

I wish a wall was the answer, but it’s not.  It helps, but it’s not enough in and of itself.  There needs to be a big deterrent - like a harsh penalty (up to including death) for attempting to enter illegally.  That may sound harsh, but there is a legal path that must be followed.  It not, and you chose illegal entry, you are risking your life based on your poor choice.

Pew Research keeps some good unbiased stats based on credible resources, and Trump did worse at removing illegals than Obama during his first two years.  His numbers improved a bit in his last 2 years.  This really shouldn’t be a political issue.  And it’s nonsense that Democrats want more illegals so they can fill up the ballot box (that’s pure propaganda pumped out by certain media like Fox News).  Journalism for the non-thinking.

I really don't want mass execution, but a few examples of some known bad eggs coming across would be okay with me.  I think we already have regional unrest with Texas and Arizona fed up.

And the ridiculous backlog in the courts going 1 by 1 is the definition of insanity.  We need to think out of the box.  Since they aren't citizens, getting a day in court dedicated to them isn't necessary or practical.  Start putting them in "lots" of 5000 and have mass court cases to get rid of the backlog.  Y'all call came across together on 2/7/24, you'll all get the same mass court date.  There's no way all these people can be vetted 1 by 1 by the courts.  And these cases should be a rubber stamp of guilty of illegal entry.

Nonsense. Of course a wall helps. It is not a waste of money. It is not the single solution, however. It slows people down or forces them into a different area. Modern technology, relies on people who monitor and then pursue when alert goes out. Obviously useful and should be utilized more but remember, it can be stopped by the stroke of a pen. 16-year-old Texas cheerleader Lizbeth Medina’s home was targeted by an illegal immigrant, Rafael Govea Romero, 23, who broke into her home one morning as she was staying home from school on Dec. 5 and taking a bath.

Romero sexually assaulted her and bludgeoned her to death in the bathtub by grabbing her head and bashing her brains out on a surface. He also stabbed and slashed her numerous times.

Her mother discovered her lifeless body when she failed to show up for a cheerleading session and saw her leg hanging from the bathtub, sticking out from behind a shower curtain.

The assailant stole her phone and that’s how the victim’s boyfriend and the police caught him.

The family suspects that Romero on multiple occasions broke into the home without anyone’s knowledge because random things went missing for about a month.

A grand jury reviewing his case has come down with a capital murder charge.
