(SOLD) New Mac header/muffler kit

I bought this a few years ago when Mac was still making these mufflers. I did a trial fit yesterday on my new bike project, and discovered it won't work with the mid mount footpegs I am building. The header does not fit as close to the frame at the rear o the engine, and it will interfere with my footpegs.

Here is a photo the Mac company used to show the muffler system. The photo appears to have a bit tighter radius in the header than the production model. Also they do not show the muffler clamp, and the heat shield is chrome rather than painted black.

The system is ready to bolt on.....almost.

The inlet end was too large to fit the head when it arrived - I had to cut it down to fit. "All" of the kits that were delivered suffered from this problem. This issue has been corrected.

The clamp that MAC sends is too small to fit the muffler. You will need to get a clamp that will fit a 2-1/8" diameter OD. The 52-55mm clamp is likely the one that will fit.

I have not used the muffler or heard one in operation - but everyone says it is "LOUD".......really loud.

(Notice in the video he stuck a car muffler clamp on....as the one MAC sent doesn't fit).

This muffler retailed for $416.95 plus tax and shipping when they were sold through MAC.

I am selling this one for $350 and you pay the shipping. The box that MAC used is overly large and I likely can pack it in a smaller box to reduce the shipping cost. For the current 13 pound box that is 8.5" tall, 13.5" wide and 26" long it would cost $62 to ship it from KY (41095) to California (95451)....with the standard $100 insurance. You can use your zip code and the USPS shipping calculator to get an estimate of the price to ship to your zip code.

Well this is a bit weird......I have not heard from Jdvt600 since 3/06 when he said he was on a road trip and would ping me in a bit. I sent him 2 messages on the forum and he has not logged onto the site or opened my messages since 3/06.

It has been 3 weeks since I last heard from him....that seems like a reasonable time to wait.
