Congress is rightly up in arms over TikTok, introducing bill to ban or force to divest any Chinese ownership. I know Trump wants to look tough on China, but this is a bit heavy handed no?

I mean are they really a national security threat. Trump seems to think so.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) told Fox News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream that TikTok was an “enormous threat,” even going so far as to admit that former President Donald Trump was “right” about the risks posed by the Chinese-owned social medial platform.

I think you are far too naive if you think that the Chinese government have not been bussy to take over world power since 1949.

But not only that, they are preparing a war against America.

Just look at all the military basses in America.

The Chinese have bought up all the land around military bases.
That's not to raise daisies.

You may want to elect a bribed government (the Democrats led by Biden), but then you know for sure that you have to learn Cantonese.

Yes, I think it is wise.

The Chinese CCP was mainly founded to conquer the world. They themselves never made any bones about it.
They do not have a government that uses a different strategy every 4 years.

They have set goals and know exactly what they need to do to achieve them and they have been working on them unchanged for 75 years.

They know exactly what they are doing and every Chinese company serves their purpose or is put at the service of that purpose.

This also involves digging for data and edit public opinion via social media.
All smart instruments from China spy on everything and everyone and can be controlled remotely, and I am also talking about industrial installations.

I do think that Trump is using this ban on ticktok for political gain, but it is also a very good idea to restrict China where they are working on their strategy.

When he thinks it's good to bash tiktok he does. But one of the investors in TikTok has 33 Billion dollars invested, and he also donates to Trump and said no more money.

I only need to glance at your post to get the drift, it's the favourite GOP talking point. But here the thing, now I do not know if you really follow politics or you just read the headlines so what I'm about to write I do not know if you are even aware of it, but here goes.

James Lankford, R-Okla, he is a hard right on the border as you can get, he was in charge of the border bill negotiation, he is the one in the SOTU address who could be seen mouthing the words "all true" as Biden spoke about the border deal.

It was the toughest border deal in 40 years, because the border has been a failure on everyone's watch. The bill he negotiated that was passed in the Senate and the President, and had overwhelming support by the House republicans,

If you proposed a bill like that when the democrats held the floor, it would have be laughed out, the progressive democrats did not like it. But it died, because Speaker Maga Mike Johnson and his pr0n loving son Jack Johnson (you can't make this up) REFUSED to bring the bill to the floor, precisely because it would pass.

And what this revealed is the truth that Maga Mike is even weaker than Kevin McCarthy, he killed the bill that contained a list of Republican wet dreams about the border.

Which is why it's pointless to read your post because Biden called the bluff, the republican don't really give a rat's ass about the border if it means that they can use it to coerce the ignorant.

So complaining about the border and pinning it on the Democrats, doesn't work any more, Biden gave them what they wanted and they still rejected it.

So what is the point of still complaining about it. Did you read the bill that Trump ordered Maga Mike to kill?
