To say it's a sham impeachment is to miss the point. It is impossible to impeach anyone without evidence, and there has to be a high crime or misdemeanour.
This is why AOC, kept pressing Bobo the Clown, to name the crime, because there has to be a crime. Bobo, says 'ever heard of RICO' AOC is like that's not a crime it a category. You have to name a crime before you can impeach.
Set aside the fact that they don't even have the numbers to have a vote, if they did they would. But again if they did actually have an impeachment vote, then they'd have to name the crime.
For example with Trump the crime was extorting a foreign government to interfere in a US election. And the other crime was more extortion of a foreign government by threatening to withhold 400m of aid that had already been appropriated by congress. Trump can't legally hold that up because Congress is the one that appropriates the purse. The executive cannot pick and choose who gets the money that has been appropriated by Congress. So that is a clear high crime or misdemeanour
