The photo was taken by drag bike mike and I borrowed it (I'm not giving it back)

I looked up patentnummer 771502 on:
THE JAPAN PLATFORM OF PATENT INFORMATION

And found the patent here:

I had hoped that they would explain why the exhaust port is so strangely shaped, but I don't find that. The patent seems to be more about how the cinder head is machined.

It identifies the pattern used for casting the head. Just a guess. Only da Shadow knows.
