Rear Turn Signal Wiring

I cut the wires and removed the cheesy turn signals installed by the prior owner. I’m waiting for the new turn signals to arrive.
If I want to start and ride the bike before the new turn signals arrive, do I need to tape up each of the wires? Or do they need to be connected to the turn signals to create a circuit and prevent an open ground situation?
I should know this stuff, but electrical isn’t my strong suit. Thanks.

You can just tape the wires up, especially the "hot" ones. Or disconnect them under the seat.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

Thanks Youzguyz! I forgot about the clips that are still intact (duh). It can be the most simple obvious thing that bumfuzzle me sometimes!
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! We’re watching both forks of the San Jacinto River causing some serious flooding. Springman is closer to the rivers than us. Some areas got hit with over 20” of rain over 2 days! Probably over 24” for the week. Were supposed to get a break in the rain later today.
