I think it’s in the shape of the fins and other external junk. Not sure if it holds true for all sharks. Must be thousands of different species of sharks.

I remember some decades ago the notion that sharks had to have forward motion to maintain flow through the gills or they would die.
Yeah, there must be a visual clue ,so ththat at a distance, it's possible to know male versus female..
I was picking on women,,
It would be something to know Why they gather in such a huge number to get a nap and why no males.
How do they get The Word OUT to so many what the time and location of theget together is? Pretty amazing stuff.

There are many different types of sharks - but you can clearly see in the video that this version has the ability to pump water over their gills. You can see the gills opening and closing as they pump the water through. Other species of sharks may not be able to to this......and therefore need to keep swimming to move the water over their gills.
