If this happens in a parking garage that heat will be devastating, burning multiple cars around it.

If it happens in an apartment complex garage, even worse. Whenever I am in one in Denver I check the ratings, and only one that I have seen is rated to take that heat level. Gasoline engines don't burn anywhere near as hot.

So yeah, electric by percentage burns less often, but they are much more unsafe.
