That doesn't make it a valid argument. It's still false.

It's like saying I can't take anyone serious that supports Trump because of a lie about Trump that never happened. It's easy to believe though because Trump says some crazy stuff sometimes, so fact takes a back seat in this case.

Or saying I can't support immigration because "hundreds" of humans reported missing pets in Springfield. There's no actual reports in existence, not one person can find them, but since it's too easy to believe because immigrants have caused so many issues, I will maintain my stance.

If you are lied to, and it's easy to believe, that argument is still not valid. "Too easy to believe" does not make something that never happened all the sudden happen.
