we got to spend that $10,000 from the Harley problem to deal with ... for that kind of $$$ we could take a month long trip all the way to SD. and the Black Hills !  

I've got the Super Meter version of the Shotgun , but I like my 350 better !
But
I'm only a 200 pounder guy , ridding double when the wife goes the 350 ain't so good !   Unless it's just Putt Putt on back roads ... but that's what she likes the best anyway !!

How is the maintenance like valve adjustments , can you do all that stuff yourself ?

Isn't the 650 Vulcan the bike that has all the different foot peg positions ?  

I just put a pair of floor boards on my 650 that lowered the foot position by 1.5" .   It feels like a lot more relaxed machine now.   Being able to slide my feet forward and rearward adds to the effect .   Its amazing how just an inch or two can change the sitting position so much !

I had floorboards on my S-40 too.  But they were from one of the Harley "Glide-Bikes" and didn't fit or look like they belonged on it.

Yes, the KVS has the Ergo Fit system.  At 5’7”tall, I’m right on the line between ‘standard’ and ‘reduced reach’.  I tried the reduced reach foot peg position and went back to standard.  While the reduced reach felt more aggressive, the standard reach is more comfortable.

Valve lash clearance check/adjustment won’t be a piece of cake.  It uses shims and you have to pull the cams.  Fortunately, the service interval is 15,000 miles and I’m only at about 5,000 miles right now.

I’ve only made a few add-on with an aftermarket exhaust and ECU flash being the bigger ticket items.  I’m loving it.  Good size, feel, and capability for me.

Yall wont believe what I had to do to get a picture from "my phone to my computer" !

I used to be able to "Bluetooth" strait to the computer.    
But
This time  the picture wouldn't open on the computer ?
It wanted me to down load an app to open it with ??
It also wanted $$$ for the app .
So
I sent the picture through FaceBook Messenger , then I could Bluetooth the FaceBook picture from Phone to Computer , then I could resize it to post here on the Savage Site .

That's all OK , but it's a new thing I had to figure out to get pictures from Phone to Computer.

When we in Utah my phone pictures quit opening in the phone (blank screen) .  
So  I started storing them on the SD card as the camera took them ... that worked ...
But getting pictures from the phone ain't so simple anymore !

After looking at the expanded picture here ... I see that I need to cut-off those bolts sticking out the bottom of the floor boards before they start catching grass !  
Originally , there were vibration absorbing rubber ball between the foot rest part and the floorboard pan that took-up an inch of space.  Those "Rubber Balls" also took away the feeling of having something solid under my feet ... so ... they went away and were replace with carriage bolts.  There ain't no vibration on RE's modern bikes , they're totally modern production in one of the newest factory in the world !
