Yup y’all better put those carb bikes in sippy mode.  Drop 1-2 main jet sizes and let that needle down about 700 micrometers.

MM: May is 2 grandsons graduations.  Y’all don’t decide around me.  I’m already on the fence as much as I want to go.

true a head count would make selecting a location easier
and if you're only in for a location add it to your name
such as
Versy texas
leave it blank if you're good for anywhere

Thanks for worrying about us - we are fine.  This winter has been a bit cold and snowy, and I have had to clear the driveway more this year than anytime in the 30 years we have lived in this area.  We will continue having overnight lows in the teens until a warmup coming in about a week.

The worst part of the storm went south of us - we are OK but the poor folks in the mountain areas of Kentucky got flooded again.  A lot of the damage from the hurricane storms last fall is still not repaired - winter makes it nearly impossible to get repairs made efficiently.

The ground is saturated with water and frozen in some areas - so all the storm water runs off and floods the valleys.  Since the hillsides are so steep and hard to build on - most of the cities and towns are built in the valleys and subject to flooding.

The current flooding we are having is from the rising Ohio River.  It rises pretty slowly as the streams and creeks from many states are feeding it.  This photo is from a road about a mile from our house.  It is in a valley along a creek and it is all pasture land, and the river water backs up over the road whenever the Ohio River rises.  There are no houses in this area that get flooded - but the Twelve Mile Baptist Church at the west end of the road often has their driveway and parking lot flooded.  The attached photo is the flood waters backed up onto the road near our friends house, about a mile from where we live.

Our home is at an elevation of 678' msl, the 100 year flood elevation is 503' - so we are 175' above the flood waters.

OK - brief topic hijack......now back to your travel planning.

Hay Versey , Watch out now ... as cold as it is back east here ... you could end up with a house full !   ;

Not that I'm sure Marcia would even let me go , but I like the idea !  Smiley

It might look like :
Day one to Lancer
Day two to Santa Rosa NM
Day Three Flag Staff AZ
Day Four Duarte !
I might have a RV of sorts by next year ?
That easy chair in the back yard I've been looking for might have wheels on it ?   Huh     I've been looking for it for almost 19 years now !

I've been monitoring this conversation. I would like to join you guys but this year is very iffy at the moment. When you guys decide and the date gets closer I might have a chance.

Is any of you fellers going to Bike Week ?     I have a buddy who got free camping in exchange for helping with the Daytona 200 race.   Well he also got an extra arm-band but had nobody to give it to , his wife is a home body ya might say !     He's a Harley type with a one ton diesel truck he uses as a commuter vehicle , his Carbon Foot-print must be 10 miles wide and a Hundred miles long and growing !   Grin    I can teach by example little at a time.

Well to me its free camping and arm-band for the race area.

I won't know anybody there ! But I think I can keep busy  , it would be nice to see somebody I know , Yall know how those Biker are !

Springman, I’m kinda in the same boat as you.  If the stars align right, maybe we could buddy-up for the adventure.  Just thinking out loud.

Hay Versey if we all came to your area .... is there a place we could stay ?

Me personally , I'd be OK with seeing Southern Calf. for a week ?   Burnt Roads and all.  Smiley
That area around Flagstaff sure looked inviting !  Does anybody know if , "Is it far enough South to be warm in April or May" ?

Somewhere we ain't been yet ?
