Canada responds
01/16/25 at 14:11:52

McGuinty, flanked by the head of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and a senior RCMP official, said Wednesday the government has already deployed 60 new drones and is setting up surveillance towers near the 8,891-kilometre border.

Idiots.  Don't they know that dropping billions on a physical wall staffed 24/7 with thousands of Border Patrol staff with binoculars is better than modern technology?  I mean prisons do it, and there's really no difference between a single parcel of property and miles and miles of border over all kinds of variable terrain.

Maybe we do need to invade Canada.

No different than when I quote Obama policy and say Trump did it and it's all good.  Many humans don't care about what actually is in policy, they care if the human they like said it.

My opinion in this thread is that Canada obviously has no idea how to reliably patrol a border since it has been established here that a physical wall manned by thousands 24/7 is superior to all other known forms of surveillance.  The logic being prisons do it.  These drones and helicopters are obviously a waste of time.  Canada needs to drop billions on a wall and make some other country pay for it.

Rather different,
when you quote Obama.
then say trump said it.

No different, to me, in regard to humans only caring who said it.  Not what was said.

My opinion in this thread is that Canada simply does not know how to secure a border.  They obviously need to dump billions into a wall and stop with this modern technology business.

Canada is not going to become to 51st State but I imagine there will be much greater cooperation between Canada and the US starting next week. Let me modify that and say cooperation in a good direction. That will only get better after they get rid of Fidel Castro’s son.

The only way they would become the 51st State is so they could get rid of their healthcare system and bring US hospitals and insurance north of the border. I know a lot of people in our Canadian office and they just accept the fact they have substandard healthcare unless they have enough money to pay it out of their pocket.

My wife was in Scott and White, here in Texas. It's called the Mayo of the South. They have an RV parking lot. It was about 40 years ago. The plates on the majority of the RVs were from Canada. Their care has sucked for a long time.

That’s what I’ve heard from the Canadian people. They just learn to deal with it. One of my motorcycle riding buddies has lupus and he went up to the Mayo clinic last week. Did all kinds of work on him and now he’s got a new experimental medicine that’s gonna extend his riding for a few more years. No way that happens in Canada.

I have heard many times from people who live South of the border how terrible the health care is in Canada, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Some  doctors are a waste of time, but whenever I have come across that problem I just got another one, there are lots to choose from, and they are free.

There are big fat unhealthy  people everywhere, but I have no doubt that the vast majority live in America.

No matter how good the health service is we all snuff it, and that includes the doctors.

I’ve not spoken to a single Canadian who has experienced both who says the Canadian healthcare system is better from a healthcare point of view, thr only benefit they cite is the cost.

Having experienced the free health care systems in England, Scotland, France, Saskatchewan, Sweden and Ireland, I can say without doubt that none of them are better that the health care system in Saskatchewan.
I could have paid for private health care in any of the above countries
(    As I would have no choice but to do in America ?  ) had I so wished, but did not find it necessary. Smiley

PS, Come to think of it, the only time I have ever had to pay for healthcare was when I first came to Canada and was  still not a Canadian citizen.  I damaged the epididymis of my left testicle when splitting logs, which caused it to swell to the size of an extra large egg.  It was well worth the $160 it cost to get it sorted.

Another American misconception I encounter all the time is that Canadians have no guns..

I can honestly say that I have so many guns I don't even know how many guns I own, even my old woman has guns.  Grin

After he tried for a YEAR,
