I remember an infamous report that was released by the U.S. Department of Defense shortly before the September 11, 2001 attacks. On September 10, 2001, one day before the attacks, then Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld stated that the Pentagon could not account for $2.3 trillion in spending. This was reported during a press conference in which he spoke about the bureaucratic inefficiency within the Department of Defense.
The next day, September 11, 2001, the attacks occurred, completely overshadowing this news.
One of the buildings hit was the Pentagon, with the wing where financial records were kept being hit.
Pattern of Disappearances in Defense Budgets
The U.S. government has a history of unaccounted-for money. In 2016, the Pentagon’s inspector general reported that $6.5 trillion in funds could once again not be traced.
In 2018, the Pentagon failed its first-ever financial audit.
It would save a lot of money if musk were allowed to cut down the military as if it were a company.
But I have no illusions that that would ever happen.
I think the cesspool is too big.
Take a look at this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=677i43QfYpQThe BBC later stated that it was a simple mistake due to the confusing situation on that day.
They allegedly received information from Reuters that was incorrect or passed on too early.
The BBC also said that they had lost the original recording of this broadcast.
So there is no reason to think that there was anything behind the scenes that could not stand the light of day.
According to the official report from NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) that followed later, the cause of the collapse was intense fire caused by debris from WTC 1 & 2. This would have weakened the steel structure, leading to a symmetrical collapse.
So nothing to worry about.
But about that money... where does this go to because it is not small amounts?
2.3 + 6,5 = 8.8 Trillion
