How can they try to sell this for a DR650 if 28.3mm is incorrect? Put it on a lathe and buzz it down?
I don't know of any DR650 camshaft that has a 28.3mm steady rest.....the camshaft for the early 1992-1995 DR650 that we use has 25mm just like the Savage. The later bikes have a completely different camshaft with a decompression mechanism that won't fit the LS650.
It is possible to machine the steady rest down if you have a lathe - but not many folks have that ability.
The good news for DragBikeMike is that the Amazon purchase has a 30 day return policy - he can find out what it is (isn't) - then send it back!!!
