I don't think I've ever done it Accelerating basically just don't increase any more until you shift You'll get bored before you get float I suppose you could over rev by downshifting several gears at one time at full throttle Not recommended

Even a rev limiter wouldn't help in that situation.

Works all the way up to the highest gear - then it just stops pulling when you reach the terminal velocity. Those with modified engines can pull a bit harder and a bit longer than those with stock engines.
